NOBODY KNOWS

Nobody knows where time really goes
Some say they know; some know but do not say
But no one really knows, nobody knows.

Some say there’s a God, up high in the sky
I’d love to meet her, some fine sunny day
But who really knows, hard as we try?

Honest ones say everybody lies,
Crooked ones claim there is only their way,
And their ointment always contains some flies…

Some claim great visions, revealed in their dreams
But can we believe anything that they say
When they’re selling snake oil and liar’s schemes?

Some say there’s no God—but how can they know?
Some things are mysteries, some hope and pray.
Some want you to follow, keep it down low…

But no one knows where time really goes.
Who to believe when everyone lies?
So, where we will go, for all of us die?
Is there heaven on high or hell below?
